A coalition of conservative networks within the Church of England (CofE) is expressing gratitude to God, stating that the orthodox position on General Synod has been "strengthened" following the recent elections.

Directors of the Alliance, Ade Adebajo, John Dunnett, Adam Gaunt, Sarah Jackson, Paul Langham, Vaughan Roberts and Jago Wynne, describe it as "an answer to all our prayers that so many members of this new Synod are committed to upholding the historic teachings of the Church", particularly among the laity.

However, they also express caution: "Needless to say, we are highly conscious of the significant challenges and work now lying ahead."
