Dear Editor,
In Rebecca Chapman’s interview with Andrew Graystone (en February, page 17, online version here) entitled: “Evangelicals after John Smyth”, Mr Graystone suggested the Titus Trust withheld information from him and that the trustees dismissed his advice out of hand. I was present at the meeting in question and would like it known that Mr Graystone’s account badly misrepresents what took place.
Indeed, his claims follow a pattern of inaccuracies I noted in the first edition of his book Bleeding for Jesus (2021), which contained misleading or untrue material regarding the Titus Trust and me. I posted a rebuttal at the time which provided evidence of how the trustees actually responded. It is still available at stileman.online for en readers interested to know what really happened.
