Pro-life images

Dear Editor,

‘The Fourteen Ages of Woman’ might be a good name for the stylised figures set in pastel adjacent to James Mildred’s pro-life update in the August issue of en. With ‘200,000 abortions’ in England and Wales per year (and ‘9.5million’ since 1967) a much more powerful pro-life image could have accompanied the text.

A scientific image like one of those on the CBRUK website (‘The Facts’, ‘Human Development’ sections) might have had much greater impact. The abortion industry is running scared as the public start understanding the full horror of middle- and late-term abortion.

We tentatively sow many spiritual seeds in faith, but with pro-life images (or conversation) the positive result may be more rapid and far reaching. Contact with pro-life NHS colleagues encouraged me to cease making abortion referrals, to examine the case for Christ and to profess faith.

Yours sincerely,
James Hardy Belfast
