Dear Sir,
Not since the Second World War has such a crisis hit this nation. We have all been taken unexpectedly!
We, who call ourselves Christians and God’s church, must analyse our contributions to this situation. Have we forgotten the tower of Babel, when God saw the people He loved going their own ways and trying to become God themselves? God had to intervene.
Have we as representatives of God’s church not behaved in the same way? Over the years, we have seen a more divided and fragmented church, arguing and bickering amongst each other as to what denomination and belief is more Christian. We have not become the one family as we know we should but instead, like the Israelites of old, have gone our own way. The whole nation has seen this and become confused and unsure about what we, who call ourselves Christians, actually do believe and particularly when they see that the lives we lead are barely different to theirs.
Friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us earnestly pray for deliverance and forgiveness for the way we have all wandered off course from that laid down by our Lord and Saviour.
Yours sincerely,
