The EMW Aber Conference: A taste of heaven on the Welsh coast

Speaker Phil Swann

The Evangelical Movement of Wales' (EMW) Aber Conference is held every August on the Aberystwyth University campus. It has welcomed many well-known speakers in the past – including Joel Beeke, Don Carson, Dale Ralph Davis and Conrad Mbewe – yet has always managed to do so without overlooking the wealth of home-grown Welsh preaching talent. This year was no exception.

The roster for the evening sessions included well-known English evangelist Rico Tice from Christianity Explored, who spoke on two occasions – “Rico Twice”, as we affectionately called him (and “Rico Thrice” if you also made it to his seminar!).

The other evenings welcomed preaching from Alun Ebenezer from Brynmawr and Andrew Norbury from Maesteg, alongside other Welsh pastors.
