A well-known Christian band have given fans a glimpse behind the scenes as they record new all-age music.

Gareth Loh and Dan Adams – known as Awesome Cutlery – have been recording an as-yet-unnamed new album.

What's their process?

Gareth says, ‘In case you’ve ever wondered … here’s a glimpse into the process.

‘Taking one song as an example, we’re writing a track about the body. There is much in Scripture about our bodies – created in God’s image, declared good by Him, cursed because of sin, redeemed because of Jesus, a temple of the Spirit, one day to be raised imperishable… This list alone is 27 words, and a song is usually about 200 words (for example, In Christ Alone is 226 words). We need to carefully choose which elements to focus on, and write lyrics with brevity.

‘Then there’s relevance: what does our society need to hear about this issue?’
