What profile does world mission have in your church? Is it something that is mentioned and prayed for regularly on Sundays and at prayer meetings? Or is it something that is only infrequently referenced?
What place, also, does world mission have in your own life? Are there organisations that you support both through your giving and your prayers?
A new report from Crosslinks raises interesting questions. The instruction of Jesus could scarcely be clearer: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me,” He tells His disciples (Matthew 28v18). “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
