Daylight Christian Prison Trust
has
appointed Gaius Phillingham as its new
Chief Executive Officer.
Phillingham, previously pastor at Trinity
Free Church, Manningtree, will be taking
over the mantle from Steven St John, who is
retiring after ten years in the role.
Archie Battersbee
The UN Committee on
the Rights of
Persons with Disabilities has confirmed it
will consider the case of Archie Battersbee,
who died in August 2022 aged 15 after his
life-support was switched off against his
family’s wishes.
A complaint to the Committee was made
by Archie’s mother Hollie Dance. Andrea
Williams, Chief Executive of the Christian
Legal Centre, said: ‘It is vital that justice is
seen to be done.’
