  • Nigeria: Christians killed

    Suspected Fulani herdsmen killed two Christians in Plateau state, Nigeria after Islamic State (ISWAP) terrorists killed two others in a predominantly Christian area of the northern city of Kano.

    A witness identified the victims as Ifeanyi Ilechukwu, 41, and Chibuke Emannuel, 33. ‘The terrorists came to the shop of Ifeanyi Ilechukwu, where the Christians were sitting, and shot them at close range,’ ‘Ilechukwu died instantly, while Emannuel, who was shot in the leg, died in hospital.’

  • India: man killed for refusing to renounce faith

    Christians in West Bengal, eastern India, suspect a church member’s Hindu family killed him last month for refusing to renounce his faith.

    The wife and adult son of 46-year-old Madhab Gorai disrupted the start of a church service, threatening to burn him to death as they feared his faith might jeopardise his daughter’s impending marriage. Gorai’s wife was carrying a bottle of gasoline, and his son was carrying a wooden baton.
