With reference to your Comment, en August 2026, about congregational singing. This resonated with me, but even more could be said. I won’t comment on the quality of the poetry or tune – or the degree of repetition in modern songs; that is an individual judgement.
However, there is another tendency creeping in, and that is to take an existing but out of copyright composition, and then add a chorus, before republishing it under new authorship. Christian plagiarism?
