Dear Editor,
The States were untied long before Donald Trump appeared (editorial September 23 en).
I remember an American sighing to me back in 2005 how, before, she had been glad to meet any fellow American when abroad; but now she was suspicious – what side were they on?
Privately, I pray for Trump to win because he helps the oppressed, including the unborn, against corrupt tyrants. I do not think that he is Jesus, so please don’t put me in that group (if it exists). At church, however, I don’t mention Trump because politically and otherwise, we’re a mixed bunch.
What unites us is the cross of Christ, whose kingdom starts with a perfect creation and concludes with a glorious resurrection. When I meet a fellow Christian abroad, this is my focus.
Yours sincerely,
Catherine Olaussen Norway
