Norfolk: ‘Every time we feel like giving up - something happens’

Six years into its existence, a Norfolk Christian fellowship in an area “lacking” in gospel churches has tripled in size.

Briston Christian Fellowship (BCF) – in the village of Briston near Holt in North Norfolk – began with four individuals meeting in a house and now consists of 12 regulars who meet in a community room.

One of the fellowship’s founders is Matthew Pickhaver, who – in his role as a Norfolk evangelist – was asked to do a survey of gospel churches in the county. “This area was one of those the survey identified as lacking,” Pickhaver told en. “But it also happened to be where my dad, Graham – a preacher – was already living, so my wife Carolyn and I moved here intentionally to pursue evangelistic and church-planting opportunities.”
