The Gaines Manor Activity Centre is changing hands after 60 years of running Christian camps on the site.
The large Georgian manor, set on ten acres of land, is being taken over by Yorkshire Camps – another Christian charity that runs 40 camps year-round for more than 1,500 young people.
Yorkshire Camps, established in 2013, is based out of Netherside Hall, a former residential school near Grassington. The Gaines, gifted to Yorkshire by Christian charity Camp XL, will become Yorkshire’s second location.
