Jennifer Melle, the Christian nurse suspended in 2024 for “misgendering” a biologically male paedophile, then reinstated, has agreed a legal settlement with an NHS Trust.

Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust had labelled her a “potential risk to the public” and reported her to the nursing regulator, but disciplinary action for an alleged data breach was later abandoned.

Separately, former Police Community Support Officer Luke Salmons has won an out-of-court settlement from North Yorkshire Police after he was suspended, then dismissed for gross misconduct after asking questions about Islam during mandatory diversity training. After his dismissal in July 2025, he was placed on the Police Barred List, preventing him from ever working in policing again.
