The Soldiers’ and Aviators’ Scripture Readers Association (SASRA) has held its annual Workers’ Conference at King’s Park Conference Centre, Northampton.
It is always a great encouragement to be together and this year's theme was “Revival”, writes Lt Col Dr Martin Gliniecki QGM, SASRA Executive Director.
SASRA’s evidence of revival in our Armed Forces began more than two years ago. For 60 years, the number of salaried Scripture Readers fluctuated around 13. Then God provided for rapid growth, to 21 in just two years from 2024, with more to come. One revival example is at the Army Training Regiment (ATR) Winchester, where new recruits undergo their 13-week basic training course. Alongside fieldcraft, trainees are encountering the gospel, with many expressing a real desire for purpose in their lives.
