A galaxy of leading evangelical organisations is supporting what is described as an “exciting” new edition of Mark’s Gospel for mass distribution across London.
The giveaway Gospel is soon to be published by Grace Publications, in collaboration with Holman/Lifeway and London City Mission. Designed in what is described as “a contemporary zine format”, it combines “keen affordability with compelling graphics and design.”
Good News for London is supported by a wide variety of ministries, including Christian Heritage London, Affinity, Grace Baptist Association SE, FIEC, London Project, London Gospel Partnership, Christianity Explored Ministries, the Evangelical Alliance and A Passion for Life.
The version used, the Anglicised Christian Standard Bible, “aims for optimal equivalency, giving a faithful translation of the original languages in clear and accessible English prose,” organisers say. “This lends itself well to first-contact outreach, providing readers with a text which is uncomplicated and uncompromising, bringing them face to face with what God Himself has said in Christ Jesus. To further simplify, this edition will not have headings or chapter and verse numbering.”
The Good News for London website (linked by QR code inside the zine) will provide further information about Jesus.
