A COP FOR CHRIST
By Mike DiSanza
Hodder & Stoughton. 214 pages. £5.99
ISBN 0 340 78519 5

As the title suggests, this is an autobiography of a Christian cop, a New York cop to be exact, who spent his career in some of the roughest districts of that city.

Converted as a young man when he had reached rock bottom, Mike DiSanza is convinced that he needs to stay working in Harlem to share the love of Christ with those whom he meets on the streets, but more particularly with his fellow officers. Through extraordinary circumstances he sees many converted. As a result of his work, International Cops for Christ is formed, of which he is now President.
