There have been 95 conversions reported in the past months in Iran.
Iman, a refugee from Iran, attended a Christmas service and heard the gospel proclaimed for the first time. His heart was open and he eagerly took home a copy of the New Testament.
One week later, a small group leader from the church received a phone call from Iman. ‘I’ve read the New Testament twice from cover to cover since Christmas,’ Iman said, ‘How can I follow this Jesus?’ That night, Iman joined the small group and gave his heart to the Lord.
Mohammad, a visitor from Iran, was in the same Christmas service. Unlike Iman, Mohammad’s heart was hard. Church members spent time explaining the good news but he was not interested. He very reluctantly took a New Testament before returning home to Iran.
The same small group leader later received a second phone call. The leader was surprised to hear Mohammad weeping down the line. His heart had changed since he had returned home. He had read the New Testament and had come to understand that he needed Jesus.
