Christian ministry Release International has changed its name to Voice of Persecuted Christians – a phrase which has appeared in the organisation’s logo for many years.
CEO Paul Robinson said: “We believe the new name better reflects what our ministry is about: enabling the first-person voice of persecuted Christians to speak into the life of the church here in the UK.”

Christian charity Home for Good and Safe Families says the Government’s apology to mothers and adoptees for historic forced adoption practices “must be accompanied by a commitment to listening to those with lived experience and ensuring that such injustices can never be repeated”.
The charity said the apology “must also act as a catalyst for a renewed and sustained commitment to children and young people currently in the care system”.

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has reportedly paid out £187,000 in damages and formally apologised to seven Darlington nurses who were required to share a changing room with a biological male who identified as a woman.
Christian Concern says the figure “does not include legal costs, which are still to be decided at a further hearing,” and that it “also does not include the Trust’s own legal costs of £603,000, and counting, spent on defending its position of allowing men into female changing rooms.”

Andy Burnham, who has since become Prime Minister, was among approximately 650 parliamentarians and church leaders, who attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Westminster Hall recently, where guests were warned against putting their hope in political parties or leaders rather than Jesus.
“As Burnham seeks to bring hope and change we need to pray that he will be realistic and honest with the public about the scope and limitations on government – not least given the state of public finances,” said en columnist David Burrowes, co-founder of the Conservative Christian Fellowship. “His call for ‘place first not party first’ is encouraging as we seek peace makers amidst such division and fractured in our politics and communities.”

Christian organisation Stewardship is celebrating a record level of donations. “Given the ongoing economic challenges in 2025, we are deeply grateful to have received £161million in donations,” the organisation says, “which includes an exceptional gift and represents an incredible increase of 49% since 2024.”
Stewardship says it helps more than 30,000 donors “discover the joy of generosity as they give around £110million a year in support of over 12,000 churches, charities and Christian workers”.
