Discovering faith via Mark

Christianity Explored

What’s the best news you’ve ever heard? Was it surprising? Did it change the way you think? Or was it something you wanted to be true but didn’t dare hope?

We all know the name of Alpha – the course now used worldwide that introduces unbelievers to Christianity. Christianity Explored (CE) is an alternative to Alpha, which I’ve recently discovered.

During Covid, my wife and I were meeting with the youth at our church in the UK on Zoom. We used another course created by the same organisation called Discipleship Explored (see CEministries.org/courses). We found the course excellent for new Christians.

I have been on two Alphas as a facilitator and enjoyed them thoroughly. However, I think there is always room for more courses similar to Alpha.

Tough questions through Mark

Although CE is very similar to Alpha in many ways, there are subtle differences. Alpha is based each week on a particular question. Whereas CE explores the Gospel of Mark and discuss ‘tough questions’ as you go along.

Based on my experience with their other course, I have no doubt that CE will bless and aid in the introduction of many to Jesus.
