Glorify?

GLORIFY
https://glorify-app.com
Available on the App Store and Google Play

Glorify says of itself: Grow your faith with daily devotionals and Christian meditations.

Some research of this app revealed that it hosts some rather A-list investors: Michael Bublé, Jason Derulo, Kris Jenner just to name a few. Not knowing the religious inclination of these celebrities may cause some concern for those who want to use the app to strengthen their relationship with God. However, if the user reviews are to be believed, the app is helping a lot of people.

I read an interview with the creator of Glorify, Ed Beccle; and he is certainly ambitious. His vision is to see, through Glorify, the creation of a ‘social media platform’ for Christians and eventually even a ‘Christian Tinder’.

The app itself is very modern and well designed. It has an integrated Bible (ESV, NASB or NIV) and a host of reading plans with the option to journal as you go. You can create prayer lists, listen to worship music, and even have a Christian bedtime story read to you as you sleep.

The social feature of the app is in its infancy with the option to join others who use it in praying for specific situations e.g. Covid-19.

Subscription costs for Glorify Plus are dependent on your location, but range between £5.99–£6.99 a month with the option to purchase an annual subscription between £38.99–£51.99.

It is clear where the $40,000,000 (that’s not a typo, and is according to a report on techcrunch.com) investment has been spent as the user interface for the app is slick and easy to use. There is also a host of exclusive content for the app from well-known Christian figures such as Joel Houston (Hillsong worship).

For those looking for an app to encompass worship music, a reading plan and journaling, this app may be very effective.
