Gideon Chukwudalu Ilechukwu has been appointed as the first Diocesan Bishop of the evangelical Anglican Missionary Congregations (AMC), the newest Diocese in the growing Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE).
His election to the province, which is overseen by the orthodox Global Anglican Futures Conference (GAFCON), received unanimous support. AMC has only recently been classed as a Diocese, having grown from one mostly Nigerian church in Manchester into 35 congregations Europe wide.
