Alistair Begg retires

Popular author, writer and minister Alistair Begg says he is retiring as senior pastor of Parkside Church, Cleveland, Ohio, in September 2025.

Begg was born in Glasgow in 1952, and his much-loved Scottish brogue has remained a feature of his speaking. Westminster Theological Seminary conferred an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity on him in 2009. He lists among his influences Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Stott, Derek Prime, Eric Alexander, Sinclair Ferguson, Dick Lucas, and Eric Liddell.
