The Skit Guys

THE SKIT GUYS
skitguys.com/

Tommy & Eddie are The Skit Guys. Best friends for 30+ years, they teach God’s word through skits and videos.

This website is a treasure trove of videos, skits and media that are made to bring joy, laughter and resources to churches and Christian ministries.

There are many websites and resources available to churches in this digital age. ProPresenter, CMG (Church Motion Graphics), to name a couple. They provide sermon intro videos or slides, scripts for seasonal or popular themes and, in a pre- and post-Covid world, online service graphics.

The idea of The Skit Guys is simple: ‘Teach God’s word through skits and videos.’ On viewing some samples of their videos, they are funny, yet still manage to bring a sound gospel message and reverence to God.

The videos range from skits about Christmas to marriage. They include serious videos e.g. spoken-word gospel presentations, and tongue-in-cheek videos such as ‘The Four Wise Men’.

Unfortunately, these videos do not come free. All videos can be viewed on their website in full, but with a watermark. Each video can cost up to $20.00 (USD) or you can have a subscription ranging from $11.99/month to $199.89/year. However, there are limits to how many downloads this gets you a month. The lowest is four per month, and the top plan is 120 per year.

Say what you will about companies/ websites charging for resources, these are high-quality graphics and videos that take time, expensive equipment/software and money to produce.

If your church is a heavy user of graphics and visual aids to sermons, events or evangelism, a paid plan may suit you best. However, if you are a church/ministry that would only use one or two videos are year e.g. Easter and Christmas, buying individually would seem to be the better option.
