    Bible Society’s Newswatch (Church Times)

Members of the Church in Wales’ 144strong governing body voted through the controversial proposals at a meeting in Lampeter in west Wales.

  • NI: Braille Bible

    Bible Society’s Newswatch (BBC)

Crumlin Road jail inmates have made a Braille Bible, it was reported in September.

The charity Healing Hands made this suggestion, as the inmates have been making books there since the 1920s. One of the ten inmates who worked on the project said: ‘I found it extremely satisfying. It has helped my own self-esteem enormously. It means I can give something back to the community’. The Bible has been given to Maghaberry Elim Church to be used by a visually-impaired congregation member.
