The Christian Ethereal Library at http://www.ccel.org may well become pre-eminent in this service. Besides more recent classics, the library includes nearly every work by the church fathers of the first 800 years, known to be extant. Recent contributions are also broad ranging, and include works by John Owen, Gregory the Great, Daniel Defoe and G.K. Chesterton.
