FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

This is a strident challenge to full-on, cross-carrying, risk-taking, adventurous living for Christ from a young evangelist based in Burundi.
Subtitled ‘A call to no holds barred discipleship’, it is in the same mould as the books of George Verwer and William MacDonald’s True Discipleship. It is full of punchy and pertinent illustrations which grip the heart. The chapters are divided into three sections, How can I live radically? Why live radically?, and What will radical living look like?
Knowing a trouble torn African country and its needs very well, the author not only helps us face the possibility of dying for Christ, but also punctures the complacency of much evangelicalism in the West. Such challenges are sometimes more abrasive than helpful, but this book is written with great wisdom and with a warm heart. Don’t miss it!
