The average compilation album, in my experience, contains a few really great songs, many mediocre ones, and a couple of terrible tracks that you skip over every time after the first listen. This compilation is no exception. To be fair, there is nothing really awful on here (apart from the cover design - try to ignore all memories of Hits '95 from the sale section at HMV as that must be where the artist went to for their inspiration), but, after a promising opening three tracks, the overwhelming overtones are 'pleasant but bland'. The first CD is vastly superior to the second one. After several listens of disc two the only tune that sticks in my mind is the beautiful and melodious 'If you want me to' by Ginny Owens. (The most important revelation for me from these two double albums, incidentally, would be just to forget absolute anything and buy Ginny's album instead). Disc one fares slightly better - as well as the aforementioned opening tracks it also ends with a bang, in the shape of Ross King and 'Enter the Worship Circle'. So at the end of the day it fits the compilation mould pretty well - six good tracks and 19 average ones. Ultimately it is your decision if that makes it worth paying £10 for, but your money might be better spent elsewhere.
