TAMING THE TIGER
By Tony Anthony with Angela Little

Billed as 'the remarkable true story of', this is not a book I would normally have chosen when browsing in the bookshop, but I found it gripping and challenging.
Tony Anthony was ruthlessly trained by his grandfather to become an unfeeling and violent champion of Kung Fu who used his skills to become a bodyguard, murderer and thief. His testimony of the faithful witness of a Christian visitor to the prison where he was incarcerated, his conversion and the subsequent highs and lows of his Christian life are both heart-warming and hugely challenging.
Although the detail of some of the fights he was involved in makes unpleasant reading, the gospel message is very clearly explained, making this a book of value to believing and unbelieving readers, perhaps particularly those interested in Chinese martial arts. Put it on your Christmas list, or better still, buy it for someone else!
