When Christians struggle with self-doubt and submission, they need to look to the Almighty Sculptor of Life for patience, humility and help.
Using over 30 years' worth of experience in pastoral ministry with her husband, Stuart, Jill Briscoe writes this helpful book which highlights passages from the books of Jeremiah and Lamentations.
Her style is easy to read, acquainting the reader with Jeremiah and Baruch by way of her personal examples and reactions to the passages in question. This book could be a useful tool in personal or group study using the sets of thought-provoking questions which follow eight out of ten chapters. The Christian is reminded that he is the clay in the Master's hands. The lessons are lovingly taught and the reader will long for more chiselling. I warmly recommend the book.
