REMEMBER THE LORD! CD
Colin Buchanan
Distributed by the Good Book Company

When you start to listen to this CD, you might feel culturally excluded due to references to exotic places like Kakadu and the Simpson Desert. It is very Aussie!

It is also infectious, lively, contemporary, humorous, and as sound as Calvin's Institutes. In fact, Remember the Lord is a kind of sung systematic theology for children, starting with the doctrine of creation, and tackling the nature of God, providence, sin, the atonement, Scripture and heaven.

Colin Buchanan, who is well known Down Under as a children's TV presenter, not only sings and plays, but talks, teaches and challenges. The CD incorporates a number of catechism questions with Scripture proofs, as well as several texts set to music. Children will love the Isaiah 53.6 rap (Baa, Baa, doo Baa, Baa). Some of the songs are well known, but others are new to me. I can't wait to teach my Sunday School This is the Gospel. Its summary of gospel truth fills a real gap in the repertoire. At the end of the CD are a number of backing tracks to be used in performance with children. Karaoke Sunday School!

This is a fantastic resource to liven up family prayers. I cannot recommend it highly enough. You could also insert local place names for Aussie ones, though Clapham Common and the River Mersey may not have the same ring!
