When I first saw the title of this book I immediately thought of a person who could do with reading it. Shame on me! It only took a read through the first chapter to realise that this is a book for all of us, including hypocrites like myself.

Tim Chester’s easy, insightful and honest style cuts to the heart of our thought and behaviour processes. Using biblical principles and real examples, Chester reveals the process of forgiveness, grace and hope in personal transformation to be more Christ-like.

At the start of the book he encourages the reader to engage in a personal ‘change project’. Each chapter ends with a series of brutally honest questions to ask yourself and then apply biblical truth to your own issues. It encourages introspection in tandem with rigorous, practical theology to lift the reader’s eyes to Christ.

Jesus was the champion of change, encouraging people to believe in him and become more like him. So, if you can think of anyone who you think may need this book, while you buy them a copy, get one for yourself too.
