This is an excellent resource for all church secretaries, administrators and treasurers. The book provides a wealth of up-to-date advice and information on many practical issues which church leaders need to continuously bear in mind.

The contributing team must be commended for thoroughly researching each topic (from Accident Reporting to Working Time Regulations, including Disability Discrimination, Health and Safety, and remuneration of pastors).

I thought an index would have been helpful because I was amused to find items in unexpected places (e.g. ‘Listed Buildings’ comes under ‘P’ for property, p.94) — but then, I am Irish and my logic is obviously not ‘normal’!

Nevertheless, I warmly commend the handbook to you as excellent value for money!
