This book aims to encourage people to read a passage from the Bible daily for a month, and so help create a habit of Bible reading.

It contains 31 Bible readings and comments on the text. The theme is the promise made throughout the Old Testament to send the Lord Jesus Christ into our world. Beginning in Genesis and going through to Revelation, the author makes clear, simple, and profound comments that flow from the text. Sub themes related to the book’s title include creation, the fall of man, the spoiling of our world, psalms and the prophets.

13 readings from the New Testament deal with Jesus, his rejection, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. The ministry of the apostles, the new heavens and new earth draw the book to a close with ‘an invitation to come to Christ’.

This book shows what it means to be a real Christian. I will be recommending it to folks at my church.
