This is a lovely series of four colouring books based on short Scripture verses and pictures of biblical animals, birds, places and plants from both Old and New Testaments.

The format of the books is A4 size with a verse (or part of a verse) to be coloured, on each page, followed by a small amount of explanatory text. The explanation takes the form of factual points regarding the animal, bird, place or plant referred to by the verse, followed by simple application and Christian teaching. The explanation also attracts the child’s attention by relating the topic to things to which they will readily relate. Opposite the text is a full-page picture to colour, which illustrates the subject.

The books are well written, simple, interesting and informative, ideal for the 4 - 6 age group to work through with an adult. They will bring children gently in touch with the gospel, either reinforcing Bible stories and teaching that they’ve heard, or introducing them to the wonders contained in God’s Word. All the books are beautifully illustrated and will bring much pleasure to any child who enjoys colouring. Altogether lovely books.
