Clear and heart-warming

This book is not a commentary on Exodus, but a series of 40 or so studies in the life of Moses — truly a great man of God.
Chapter by chapter we are guided through the life of Moses in chronological order. We are shown the many and varied problems, both personal and national, which he encountered and, by God’s grace and help, overcame. These are not so much academic cameos as helps for all believers in their everyday experiences, so similar to those of Moses, as they seek to walk with God in the world today.
It seemed to me that these were probably developed as a series of sermons. They are written in clear simple English with modern applications in every chapter. The book would make an excellent text book on ‘How to preach today’; but that is not its purpose. Budding preachers, however, would benefit greatly from studying under a ‘master-preacher’ with his accuracy of exegesis, simplicity of explanation and relevance in application.
It is a heart-warming book, yet at the same time deeply challenging. It will comfort, encourage and help any reader in their daily walk with God in this sinful world. I heartily recommend the book to young and old, new and mature believers to read, feed and to be blessed by God.
