Wow! This is superb! If you ever wished you could learn a gospel as a believer or serious seeker, then this is for you. Here we have Mark’s Gospel in memorable format.
Andrew Page, an English-born pastor in Innsbruck, has very carefully broken down Mark’s Gospel into six sections, each section having a clear, easily-memorised structure. Andrew is keen for us to follow the text well, so that we might follow Jesus better, honour him more and make him better known.
Here is an ideal way to use Mark’s Gospel to understand the gospel. In each of the six sections there are three major blocks: Block A and C usually correspond with each other, while the middle Block, B, is the first one to learn. And the learning is easy — not all the words of Mark’s actual text, but the summary headings of the events — which can be learned personally, or in a housegroup, or as a drama presentation. And for preachers, it makes a great sermon series.
As the blurb on the back says: ‘If you are looking for a new way into Mark’s Gospel and if you long to allow the Gospel to help you worship Jesus, The Mark Experiment is the book for you’. That’s bang on!
Well done to Andrew Page; all glory to God, and much benefit to the readers.
