Totally committed to Christ
Stewarding everything
TOTALLY COMMITTED TO CHRIST

I’ve often heard and used the word ‘totally’, and have come to the conclusion that it is a very overused and underestimated word. Brian Russell has well titled this book, and has shown me how ‘totally uncommitted to Christ’ I’ve been!
This book deals with stewardship, and has covered many areas, including time, money and hospitality. On the stewardship of talents, he writes: ‘If we had our priorities right, we would be busy doing the Lord’s work, not accumulating and pursuing the things the world values.’
I think this book is very valuable and I would recommend it to all believers who take seriously Jesus’s words in John 9.4: ‘Work while it is day, for the night is coming when no man can work.’
The guide is a helpful way to read, with highlighted thoughts and a section on questions for discussion which make it appropriate for group use. The author also punctuates his chapters by quoting relevant hymns. I believe his subject is one we can no longer avoid. He says: ‘Our loving and generous Maker has endowed us with physical life, time, talents and possessions, and we cannot avoid being accountable to him for them.’
This is a book to be taken seriously.
