This book is the record of email messages between four Christian men: a granddad, dad, and his two boys.

They share their thoughts on how they became Christians and their subsequent experiences. In the process they touch on their ideas of a 'call to the ministry', a vision for mission, their experience of churches and their hopes for the future.

Ronald has supervised a number of Methodist Central Halls, Rob is an evangelist and the boys seem to be following him.

It is quite difficult to see what message is intended, but it is a fascinating account of three generations of believers learning from each other. Spiritual life does not run in families, and, sadly, many good Christian parents have had to watch their children wander from the faith. But where one generation does follow another to salvation in Christ, as we see here, it is very beautiful.

So far as this book is concerned, for me it is a mirror on the zeal for the Lord and the conversion of others, plus the naivety, brashness and regrettable confusion of the modern evangelical scene.
