Paul, a student a Reading University, stood up at the CU house party to deliver a simple message: 'Talk to your friends about Jesus like Sam and Rosie did for me, and support this mission week. If it wasn't for last year's mission I wouldn't be a Christian.'
At UCCF we are so thankful to readers of EN for your prayers during the CU mission weeks last year. Paul and numerous others around the country put their trust in Christ last spring and we praise God for that. We thank God too for the students who have been converted throughout the year.
This month, as we head into the main mission season, please especially keep the words of Reading student, Paul, in mind. We would ask you to pray that there would be many like Sam and Rosie who have the courage to speak to their friends about the gospel, and invite their friends to events during the forthcoming missions.
Literally tens of thousands of students heard the gospel at CU Carol Services at Christmas. Many seeds were sown and, as a direct result, individual students around the country experienced their first Christmas as true believers.
We would love EN readers around this country - and throughout the world - to join with us in 2004 in praying that the seeds sown will bear much fruit, and that the new Christians from the last year will be firmly established. Furthermore, that they would introduce their friends, course-mates and those they live with to their Lord and Saviour.
