Related passages are linked in skilfully to get people thinking about themes and wider issues. The book does not pre-suppose knowledge, and yet somehow manages to credit the reader with the intelligence to think and enquire independently. Space is allocated in which to answer questions and write down thoughts. The format is clearly laid out with three helpful symbols to prompt investigation. This material could be used for group or individual study. Despite its brevity, this is not a shallow or cursory look at the text, and requires concentration and preparation time. As some of the suggested passages for reading are quite long, participants would need to read them in advance before a group study.
