Helpful but . . .

Brown writes ‘As a result of immigration, globalisation, secularism and technological development, the West is becoming increasingly diverse, which is making it more difficult to find shared values and to agree on the boundaries of tolerance. At the same time, those in positions of power and authority are increasingly intolerant of anyone who does not adhere to the ‘liberal’ values that represent the current social and political orthodoxy.’
