The attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and on the Pentagon last September by Islamic extremists shook the world. We are still coming to terms with the implications.
In this booklet, evangelist John Blanchard takes these events and uses them to address the age-old question of the problem of evil. Very neatly, he argues that for all their pretended moral outrage, such events should not raise any problems for atheists. It is only as God is there to give an absolute moral framework, that outrage at such acts makes any sense.
From this basis he goes on to introduce the reader to the suffering Saviour who is the only true solution to evil. The arguments are cogent and powerful. Doubtless logic-chopping academic philosophers could find fault with Blanchard's case, but then such people can find fault with anything including the concept of truth itself (and a fine mess they get themselves into!). For ordinary, fair-minded people, this is a great booklet which, under God, can do much to show the validity of biblical Christianity.
