 PrintableVersion One LifeEvangelistic videoVideo minusONE LIFE This is a short video with an accompanying booklet which has been produced as a resource to help churches communicate the Christian message. It is aimed at the 90% of people in the UK who never attend church. This is very necessary in these days and I settled down to watch with interest. The camerawork of the presentation is highly professional and easy to look at. However, I was sadly disappointed. Firstly, the approach taken to the existence of God verged on the post-modern with faith being offered as an option to make sense of things rather than the logical conclusion of the evidence. Secondly, the content is so general that apart from one gospel text on the screen for a few seconds at the end there is no real reference to Christ. It made me feel that a person of any religion from JW to Moslem would be happy to use this video. It may be useful with some of our friends, but it seems to me that the making of this video was a wonderful opportunity which has been squandered. JEBJohn Benton© Evangelicals Now - January 2002 |
