 PrintableVersion The Extraterrestrial FilesAre UFOs 'Old Nick'?THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL FILES This video is a professional recording of a lecture given by Mr. Michael J. Penfold to a live audience in Chesham Town Hall, Buckinghamshire. In the video Mr. Penfold deals with a wide range of so-called extraterrestrial, unexplained and UFOlogist material, including the possibility of extraterrestrial life, Harry Potter, alien abductions, Star Wars and the Hollywood presentation of alien intelligence, crop circles and the 'face' on Mars. A bizarre conglomeration of different matters, much of which appeared irrelevant to the title of his lecture. Mr. Penfold's basic contention was that the vast majority of UFO sightings are bogus. Over 90% of such apparently extraterrestrial activity have some mundane explanation. But the very small minority that cannot be explained in a conventional way are the result of demonic activity. The first part of his thesis is, I would imagine, fairly uncontroversial to most thinking people, Christian or otherwise. The second is anything but uncontroversial. The 'evidence' cited for the lecturer's view included a NASA report which finds many of those who have had unexplained ET incidents have also been involved in occult activities, or describe events and phenomena which have more in common with occult activities than with contact with aliens. Be that as it may, this reviewer found the whole case unconvincing. It did not help Mr. Penfold's case that many of the overheads on the screen citing his 'evidence' were misspelt.
