This is something that I have been waiting for a very long time. Taking funerals - and particular funerals where both the deceased and the bereaved are unbelievers - is one of the hard parts of a minister's work.
For years I have wished there was something I could leave with the bereaved that is faithful to the gospel, tender in tone, and which could do some real good in after days. Now Roger Carswell has done us all a service by providing us with this latest booklet.
Attractively produced and (like all Roger's material) very easy to read, this booklet is positive and helpful in tone without assuming that the deceased is a Christian and therefore now in heaven. It points clearly to God as the source of comfort in bereavement and leads directly to the gospel and calls graciously and firmly for a response. Inexpensive enough to buy in bulk, I plan to use these at all funerals in the future; I only wish it had been available years ago.
