God is the King of little girls. Yeah! And little boys. Hurray! This book for primary children really makes you want to join in with the animal noises, the cheering and lots of other sounds - parents and children. Terrific use of varied fonts keeps the reader moving quickly through the pages, which link creation with a majestic God, showing how well-known Bible stories illustrate his power.
The writer makes her point personal as she shows the reader how and why God loves them and how to make Jesus King of their lives too. I would have preferred pictures relating to the actual stories, but this does not seem to bother young children.

This is an unusual primary book, in that all illustrations are black and white cartoons with speech bubbles. Children with some Bible knowledge quickly recognise favourite characters and there is scope for parents to use it as part of family devotions, looking up the Bible references with their children.
The craft section is rather contrived, but there is an attractive game to be played inside the back cover.
