HEAVEN

Bryntirion Press. 54 pages. £2.95

This is a heart-warming little book about an uplifting subject of which too little is heard these days - heaven.
The booklet is based on four addresses given by the author at the Welsh conference of the Evangelical Movement of Wales in 1992, and has been translated into flowing English by Kitty Lloyd Jones.
Although primarily addressed to Christians it also has an evangelistic emphasis, particularly in the first chapter entitled: 'Heaven - who will be there?' Chapter two deals with things that will not be in heaven, while chapter three explains some of the pleasures of that glorious place. The final chapter makes application to our present life.
In spite of its brevity the author packs much useful teaching into these pages. For example, there is an explanation of the value of meditation, the meaning of the atonement and the importance of the Sabbath. Though its main subject is heaven, there is useful teaching on our responsibility on earth.
Its attractive cover and valuable content make it an ideal gift, and it is highly recommended for all Christians, and for selected non-Christian friends.
