'Let's Explore' is a compilation of books at least one of which has been published earlier as a single volume. It is a book, written in story form, to explain the relevance of the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer and the Beatitudes to young people today.

The story is set around the Watson family (Dad, Mum, 13-year-old twins and a school-friend of the twins). The twins are having to think through their Christian teaching both at home and at school in the light of the thinking and content of their RE lessons at school.

The arguments in the book are sound and convincing, while being full of examples both from the Scriptures and from everyday life. The book does suffer, however, from being set in a family whose life, behaviour and speech patterns are far from the vast majority of those within our churches. Oh, that we might all have teenagers who want to wash up and then spend their Sunday afternoons discussing the Word of God!

Despite these reservations, this is a book that could be profitably used in several ways, by both the 11-13 year-olds and their pastors and youth leaders.
